COMIC RELIEF

1. What is the comic relief?
Comic relief is the inclusion of a humorous character, scene, or witty dialogue in an otherwise serious work, often to relieve tension. It usually means a releasing of emotional or other tension resulting from a comic episode interposed in the middle of a serious or tragic scene. 

2. Why is it often used in horror films?
When in the film there is tension, serious or tragic scenes, the director of the film uses the comic relief to relieve tension.

3. Do you remember laughing in horror films? Can you think of an example?
Yes, this are the unique film of horror that I like. The saga Scary movie is an example of comic relief. When a journalist and his camera are in the scene of the crime to talk with Cindy Candle, a woman who was attacked. His camera are very clumsy, and the journalist take anger with him.

MY FAMILY

In this my world I'm going to talk about my family, but in this case, only the family who lives in my house. In my house we are five, my father Ramon, my mother Marian, my sister Carlota and my brother David. My father is 49 years old and he's a fireman. He's not very tall, but he isn't short. He's neither thin nor fat. He's fit, because to work as a fireman you have to be strong. He's hair is black. He has got blue eyes (I think it's very strange that neither of my siblings nor I have got blue eyes). He lived in Barcelona but when he was 24 he came to Empuriabrava to do skydiving. He was doing skydiving till 2002, one year after my sister was borned. In 1995 while he was skydiving, he also was doing the fireman course to work in a firemen park. He had to study and train very hard to pass the tests. There were 200 places out of 4000 people, and my father was one of this 200 people who pass. Now he loves working as fireman, he says that although he sees thousands of horrible things, he saves a lot of lives.

My mother is 50 years old, she's short (I think that I am short because of her). She has got black hair and dark eyes. I think she's not fat although she passed 3 pregnancies. She lived in a little village of Albacete, Carcelen but when she was 27 she wanted to change of pace so she went to Empuriabrava to work as a beautician with her uncles. Now she works in a school and she's studying to obtain the C level of catalan.

My sister is 14 years old, but she seems to hbe older. She is taller than me, but I don't mind. She is studying third of ESO in our high school, also she plays volleyball with me, in Sant Pere. Often she has a bad mood, and I think that she lives stressed. When she's bored she's very unsupportable, but aside it, she's a great people and when I'm sad she is always by my side to brighten up my day. She is the person with I can do stupid things and she will never judge me, on contrary, she will be silly with me. Although sometimes she drives me crazy, I love her.

My brother is 11 years old, he studies in Joana d'Empuries in Castello. He's neither short nor tall. He has got short brown hair, also he has got brown eyes. He is very kind and generous. He never makes me angry, but my sister and he are always arguing. He loves play football, he plays it in esplais team in Castello. I don't want that he grows up. 

I love my family and I don't change it for anything.

PIT AND PENDULUM

The story of pit and pendulum talks about a man who was sentenced to death by three judges. When he woke up he doesn't know where he is, he only sees dark. He wanted to know how big is the room, so he starts to walk when he discovered a pit in thefloor. When he woke up again, he saw a rope with a sharp pendulum that was approaching more and more, next to him, he saw a lot of spicy meat and a hundred of hungry rates. But after, he can move and the captors put the pendulum up. When he was asking for help, the walls starts to get closer and try to pull the man into the pit. He was asking for help when an arm pulls him and the walls stop moving.

MY SUMMER HOLIDAYS

I love summer, is the best season of the year, because there's no high school, you don't have to work and do homework. I started my summer celebrating the "Sant Joan" in camping Almata with some friends. I passed all the July here, in Empuriabrava, the temperature was very hot and sometimes it was too heat, but I didn't care because I was enjoying a lot. I went to the beach, to the pool, spent time with my friends, my boyfriend, and of course my family, even I did skydiving, and top with my father next to me, it was fantastic! When the august came I had to say goodbye to my boyfriend and my friends because I had to took the train with my sister to went to Chinchilla in Albacete, the village of my cousin, to spend the fairs with him, my sister and another friend, also in the middle of the fairs came another friends, and we were 11 people in the house, that was very stifling, but I enjoyed a lot. After that, I went to the village of my mother, Carcelen, also in Albacete, to spend the fairs with my family and friends. The fairs always start with a parade of floats and costumes, like Carnival but only one day. My friends and I dressed up of policemen. The fairs passed with normality, some activities were organized during the day and in the night there was party. These fairs have been the best so far. But as each year the summer always ends, so I had to return to my house and prepared the back to school.

The camera doesn't shows the face of the killer, but he shows the face of the girl and the blood to create a suspense athmosphere.

The scariest movie for me

ANNABELLE

Annabelle it's the second film from the saga "The conjuring". The plot of the film is a woman who are waiting a baby, her husband give a doll because she loves dolls. One night they discover that their neighbours were killed, when they go to see what happened, the missing daughter of her neighbours attacked him holding de doll, and after she kills herself with the doll in her hands. After that born Lea, the baby of Mia and John. John throw away the doll, and John and his family moves to Pasadena. When they were unpacking the boxes, they discovered that the doll was still here. Mia contacts to the detective and he explained that Annabelle (The name of the doll) was possessed. Mia went to a bookshop to talk with Evelyn. Evelyn said that Annabelle wants the soul of Lia. Annabelle told to Mia that if she doesn't want his daughter die, she has to give his soul, but, Evelyn sacrifices for Mia and she jumped out the window.

THE PSYCOLOGICAL HORROR STORY

1. What's the story of the tell-tale heart about?
The Tell-tale story talk about a man (the narrator) who lives with an ancient man. The ancient man has a big and white eye who is hated by the narrator. One day the narrator decide to kill the ancient because he was fed up of the eye. When the man kill the ancient, cut him into pieces and put his destroyed body under a table in the floor. Some time later, the neighbour with three police knock the door, because the neighbour heard a shout. The narrator was very nervous, and his heart beats louder and louder. The narrator didn't withstand the pressure so he confesed the crime.

Edgar Allan Poe, wrote the tell-heart story and invented the first macabre stories.

The gothic novel

1. Who invented the G.N?
The gothic novel was invented by Horace Walpole. He was an english art historian, man of letters, antiquarian and whig politician. His literary reputatios rests on his Gothic novel, The Castle of Otranto, which are of significant and policial  social and policial interest.

The elements of horror that I didn't include on my list are:

• A castle
• The women threaned by a powerful, impulsive, tyrannical male. The main character was threaned by a terrorific doll.
• Supernatural elements, only there are a terrorific doll.

MY HOBBIE

My hobbie is playing volleyball. Volleyball is a team sport, in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's pitch. I play volley in Sant Pere Pescador.
I go to train three times a week and also in the weekend we have a match. I have been playing volleyball for three years more or less with the same team and now we are in the catalan second division. I hope that we win this league and pass to the first division.
I love volley beause is a team sport, and you learns to work in a team. That sport is my passion and I would like to play until I cannot do it more.

MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCE TEST

This test says that I am very good at kinaesthetic, linguistic, intrapersonal and interpersonal, and in the other intelligences like Logical (numbers smart), Musical and visual I'm not really good.

I disagree with the test because I'm not a linguistic person, in other words, the subjects like spanish and catalan aren't what I like. It's true that I am a person who likes sport so I agree with that. Also it's true that I'm not good at numbers but not so much like the test says. I agree with the test when says that I have intrapersonal intelligence because I know very well myself, also I agree with the test when says that I have interpersonal intelligence because I think that I'm a sociable person.

ANIMAL IN ME

I have already take the test and that says I am an otter. According to the test I am small, that's true, I am fun-loving and I agree because I love have fun, I am communicative, that's true but some things I reserve it to me. Also, the test says that I am unassuming and I agree with that because I don't like be a conceited person, I am appealing, I think that I can't say it, that has to say it another person, and finally the test says that I'm finicky, I think that I'm a little bit exigent but only with me.
The careers and hobbies that I like according ot my text are:

I disagree with all the carees that the test said that I like least two, the medical career and pro sport. I'm not totally agree with the medical career but it's which come closet to what I want to study. I want to study something relacionated with the biology so de medicinal career is similar. And with the pro sport career I'm not really agree, because I like the sport but not enough to devote myself in it. Also the test said that my hobbies are:

• Mathematics
• Surfing the web
• Swimming
• Cuddling 
• Reading

So in this case I agree to all the answers least one, the mathematics, I hate this subject.

MY HERO

My hero is my grandmother, on my mother's side, Maria. She was born in Carcelen, a little village  in the 1940 so she is 75 years old. I think she is very well for his age because she is very sporty, she swims twice a week and goes for a walk with his friends every day. She is very happy in spite of everything had to pass.
She is my hero because she is very strong and hard-worker. I admire her because she is a fighter, she had to provide for her family. Her husband died when he was 50 and had 5 children, so my grandmother had to work very hard to take care of them. On top the father of her dead husband, widower, had a girlfriend who wanted to separate the family and when my grandfather died, the grandfather of my mother and his girlfriend separated of the family. I think that the act of provide 5 children forward alone is an act of a person very brave and strong.
I love my grandmother and when I grow up I would like to be like her.

My biggest dream

One of my dreams is to go to the moon. I want to visit it because I want to feel how is float in the air. 
I think that's very difficult to do it, because if you haven't got studies, you need a lot of money, about 100 millon euros. So if I don't win the lottery I can't go to the moon. The only solution that I have to do to go to the moon is become an spacewoman, but the way to become that is very difficult, there are a lot of very difficult subjects in the university, like auronautincal engineering, advanced chemistry or other. Also the college career is very long, to get it you have to studie 5 years, and be be prepared physically.
But althought I think that I can do it because I'm very perseverant, patient, and I get what I propose.
