Fashion models expose sexual harassment

This news talks about the BBC’s Victoria Derbyshire programme that showed some stories of models that had been sexually harassed.
It mentions some short stories from different models. The first one is Marissa who says that she was doing a photo shoot for a jeans brand and when she took a break and came back, the photographer wanted her to make “a performance” for him. The second model is an anonymous one; she says that a stylist wanted to kiss her against her will, so she pushed him away and he ended up masturbating next to her, and the worse part of it is that this stylist is still working in the same place.
There are a few reports more from other models like photographers who wanted nude photos, or molestations by photographers or stylists.
Personal opinion
I simply haven’t got words for all these events, I don’t understand how evil can people be. I mean, when these models are posing for a photographer, they are working to get some money from it; they don’t need to go through all this abuse. The most shocking about all this, is that most of the assailants turn out uninjured and are still working with other girls. In my opinion, a worker who molests anyone as, little as it might be, should be fired and punished by law.
Another sentence that has me freaking out is the next one: "I told my agent about my abuse, they told me to 'stay quiet, he's too important to lose as a client'" I can’t believe that someone can play down something as big as an abuse. This agent has even thought how the model felt when “the important” photographer abused from her? I think not, this man clearly has neither empathy nor heart.

To sum up, I think that this should be more reported to put all these abusive workers in jail.

Self-evaluation

A few weeks ago, a friend and I did an oral presentation about dreams. We thought it was a curious topic to develop considering that everybody dreams and not everyone knows why  we dream or what's the meaning of the dreams. We explained what they were, how they happen, the 5 stages of sleep, the meaning of some dreams and sleep disorders.
To support our explanation we used a power point which was pretty complete, but not excessively. We used images and some key words to help us remember and manage all the information. Although we could have expanded on the topic, we only explained the essential so the presentation lasted more or less what it had to last, nine minutes.
My body language was not bad because I looked at the audience, but I think that I could make more gestures with my hands and arms. I read sometimes from my notes but just when I couldn't remember a word or I went blank.
I consider that the content was pretty good because as I said before, this is not a topic that everyone knows a lot about so we introduced new information to the audience. The information was clear and concise, just enough to get to know the topic superficially.

Regarding the grammar, I think the only complex words were the technical ones because I still don't know why,but I didn't say the things I wrote in my paper, on the contrary it came naturally. For this reason I think that although everything was easy to understand (when I didn't get tongue-tied), my vocabulary was not very rich and varied. As I said, although I got tangled up, I think my pronunciation was pretty good and everybody understood what I wanted to say.

Volleyball

In this post I want to talk about volleyball and what it means to me. Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net, and the aim of the team is ground the ball in the other team's field.
I've been playing volleyball since I was 12; a bunch of girls wanted to start a volleyball team in Castelló, so we did it. Some of us had never touched a ball before, but we were willing to learn. Nowadays, five years later 5 of us original girls are still playing together  in Sant Pere Pescador.
I always think that I started playing real volleyball when I moved to Sant Pere, in 2014. That year was the first one that we played in a higher level, and we started to play every weekend.
Every training and every match made us better, in each match there was something better than the match before, we were improving week to week, until now. We still keep learning every day. Thanks to our new trainer, we started to learn a team works, we learnt to trust in our teammates, we learnt values such as commitment, cooperation and unity.
Since 2014 nothing has changed, there are some new girls and other ones who have left it, but as my trainer says, the ones who really want to play volleyball, who don’t mind spending all the afternoon in the sports complex supporting other teams or playing, the ones who wake up at dawn to take the bus and drive for 3 hours to play, even if the night before was carnival. These are the girls that keep playing.
I am so proud of my team, we are a very united team, on and off the field, and that’s because we spend a lot of time together, not only in trainings but because almost every time that we play in another town or city we have to stay there and have lunch or dinner, so we talk and laugh a lot. Also, every year we go to another city to play a tournament, so we spend a complete weekend together. Nowadays, thanks to all these things we do, there is a lot of confidence with all the teammates and with the trainer.

To sum up, I want to say that volleyball has made me live experiences and feelings that I couldn’t live if I didn’t play. I wouldn’t change at all the feeling of making a point during a difficult match, and celebrate it all together or the adrenaline that you feel after a good match. Playing volleyball is my passion, and thanks to it I have met a lot of fantastic people and spent a great time with them.

'Butterfly child' given life-saving skin

This piece of news talks about Hassan, a boy who suffers from an odd genetic disease called junctional epidermolysis bullosa that leaves his skin fragile as a butterfly’s wing therefore the title of the news. This sickness means Hassan’s DNA lacks the instructions for sticking his epidermis to the dermis.
There was no cure, but a team of biologists specialising in gene therapy helped the family, and the parents, desperate because their child was going to die, approved the experimental therapy. They extracted from him a little bit of his skin and they injected a virus that inserted in Hassan’s DNA, the instructions to stick his epidermis to the dermis.
Nowadays, his skin is totally functional and there’s no sign of blistering.
Although this treatment is not currently available to the public, with some improves it could be a therapy that lasts a lifetime.
Personal opinion
From my point of view, science is making progress at full speed. Every day the world discovers and learns lots and lots of new things, and this is something amazing. Although, it could be good like new treatments or medicines, it could also be bad, like new weapons or bombs. But in this case, science has won and these scientists have probably discovered a cure for this illness.

I believe that maybe if this boy had been born to a different family, maybe he wouldn’t had survive, because nowadays there is still a lot of people who don’t believe in new science and refuse to try new treatments. Thanks to him and his family, science has taken a step forward and probably found a new solution to an illness.

2nd of batxillerat

In this post I want to talk about how my second year of batxillerat is going. Maybe it's a little bit early to talk about it, but it already feels like there has been no summer, like if we hadn’t stopped. We started the first day so hard, and I thought well this year I know what is batxillerat, so I’m going to review everything we do every day, I’m going to be up to date, I will not leave till later what I can do at the time… Yes, well, that’s impossible. Maybe you can do it for the first week, but once you get the first exam you can say goodbye to your organization, because before you can summarize or revise whatever you did in class, you will have to do an essay, advance TdR, or study for another exam, so your perfect planning for the week is not plausible.

Resultado de imagen de estresSince we started, we haven’t had a single week without an exam, maybe the two first weeks but from that point we have had an exam every week, if it’s not a subject it’s another, and besides we have to do homework, essays, and review what we’ve done in class. And yes, if we did all this just for one subject it will be fine, but no, all these things aren’t just for one but 9. Additionally, I’m not a robot; I’m only a human that needs to sleep, to eat and to have free time. When I don’t have volleyball training, I spend all the afternoon locked in my room studying, and doing all kind of school work. I need to socialise or I will freak out soon. I thank the universe that somehow we manage to go out every two weeks more or less because otherwise I would already be out of my mind.

I know that we are doing batxillerat because “we want to”, that we could drop out of school if “we want to”. But no, you have to keep studying and working hard if you want a proper life. And I’m tired, this is not what I want for my life, I don’t want to spend the next four or five years locked in my house, stressed because I will fail exams or I won’t deliver works on time. I want to live, I want to explore the world, I want to die satisfied with how my life has been.

I’m aware that I can’t change all this, that it’s hard because it has to be, so I’m going to get the best out of it, I’m going to keep working to improve my marks and above all, I will enjoy every moment I can.

TOC TOC

A few days ago, I went to the cinema and I saw a film called "Toc Toc". This film is about 6 people who have OCD; one is a woman who can't touch anything and if she does it, she has to wash her hands right after that; another one is a man who can't stop counting things; there is another girl who repeats everything she says; there is another man who says swear words constantly and it's out of his control; the other one is a woman that has to have everything under her control, she has to make sure almost every minute if she has her keys or she has locked her house, etc; and the last one is a maniac about order.

So, the thing is, they went to see a doctor, and when they got there it turns out that the six of them were summoned at the same time and to make matters worse, the doctor’s flight was delayed. At the beginning they refused to do group therapy, but they end up talking to each other and expressing their feelings to each other.

This film made me think of all these disorders; people who suffer from it, are completely conscious that they have it, but at the same time they do it unconsciously. In my point of view all these obsessions become a problem because you let them be a problem, I mean, maybe one day you are walking in the street and you start to avoid the lines, if you keep doing it, it will end becoming an OCD, but if you realize that you are dodging lines, maybe you can stop it.

Saying that it can be stopped I’m not saying that OCD is nonsense because I really think it’s a problem. Sometimes, I don’t know why, but I get out of my house, and I have the feeling that the door isn’t close or the lights aren’t off, so although I am sure that I close it I have to go back and check it to get rid of that feeling, on account of this I can’t imagine how would it be if I had to check those things not just one time, but 10.

Some people think that people who suffer from OCD are just obsessive people, but behind this there is a whole list of problems that come with that disorder.

Does humour play an important role in life?

We all know humour is what makes people laugh, and that's the healthiest thing in life. It takes away stress and pain, furthermore, it binds people together.
Imagine just for a second a world without humour or laughter, how would it be? All day working or doing anything in absence of smiles, like robots, it could be so much worse than it is now.
From my standpoint, a life without humour is not life, I mean, you have to enjoy every minute of your life and it my view it can't happen with no humour.
A life cut off humour would be sad and depressing, that's why humour is so important, to keep bad thing away from our life.

Bethnal Green sex assaults: Girl attacked three times in hour

Summary
This news informs us about 29th of September this year when a 17-years-old girl was sexually attacked 3 times in an hour. On the night of the 29th to 30th, someone found a girl distressed, lying on the floor and under the effects of drugs. The police said that the victim was seen on camera being carried by a man who was wearing dark clothes, so that was the first assault.
After midnight, the girl was seen stumbling down Mint Street followed by another man, riding a bike, so that was the second attack. And minutes later, detectives believe that she suffered a third assault.
Personal opinion

I believe this is one of the most horrible things that can happen to anyone. This girl was going back home from a night out, and instead of arriving safe, she came across 3 horrible people who raped her. Also, it wasn’t just one person, there were 3, and one after another, so they saw this girl was hurt, and they did it anyway. These three people had to be very evil to be able to do that.

Seeing this and all the similar cases, how am I supposed to leave my house at night calmly? Or come back after a party without thinking all that can happen in only 10 minutes? I think it’s not fair for anyone to be walking in the streets in fear, looking everywhere if someone is following them.

On the other hand, how can someone attack another person just for fun? These people clearly have no empathy, because they are doing something that the victim will never forget. I think that rapists sometimes are worse than killers, because, you can kill someone by accident, you can hit them with the car or something like that, but when you rape someone, you don’t do it unintentionally, you do it in bad faith. That’s why I think in these cases, rapists should be punished by life sentence, because a violation is never a mistake.

100 Women: Where are the female Nobel Prize winners?

Summary
This news talks about the scientific winners of The Nobel Prize. It mentions the laureates in all the scientific areas: physics, chemistry, physiology, astronomy and medicine, and all of them have something in common, they are all white men.
Since the beginning of the awards in 1901, only 17 women have been awarded in the three science categories, and there hasn’t been any black science laureate.

Personal opinion
First of all I think that something as big as the Nobel prizes, shouldn’t discriminate. I think that to be fair, the judges or whoever chooses the winners, shouldn’t know the names or have photos of the candidates, because if they have any prejudices, they won’t choose the best research or project.
I believe this is an injustice because there are plenty of women who work hard every day, discovering new things, and they are not rewarded, and the same is happening with other people, of different races.
There are a lot of people who have good ideas, that maybe aren’t winning this award because of who they are or how they look, and this is totally unfair.
Everyone should get the chance to be recognised and rewarded for their efforts.

Las Vegas shooting: Paddock may have planned to escape

Summary
This piece of news talks about last October the 1st , when the deadliest mass shooting by a lone shooter in the U. S. history took place
Paddock was an old man, retired, divorced and with no children. His father was a bank robber but he had never had any criminal history, in fact, he lived in a retirement community.
He was staying at Mandalay hotel in Las Vegas, and from there he instigated terror in The Route 91 Harvest festival; Paddock killed 58 people attending the festival, and then he killed himself.
The FBI said that there were no link to terrorism and even if it’s quite difficult to carry out this alone, he did it. His girlfriend said that two weeks before the attack he bought her a ticket to see her family in Asia, and while she was there he wired her 100,000 dollars.
Personal Opinion
Honestly, I have no words for all the things that are happening in this world. Lately everything has been bad news, terrorism and violence are everywhere and I can’t understand it. I can’t even imagine what can have been happening in Paddock’s head when he did this. It seems that he was a quiet man; he lived in a retirement community, he was growing old with his wife, and although his father was a bank robber, he never had any criminal history, so why would he suddenly kill 58 innocent people? I mean, I don’t get it, they were someone's parents, someone's siblings or someone's children, they were innocent! There is no excuse for such a horrible incident. The people in the festival didn’t deserve to die because some evil, heartless man had lost his mind and started shooting people. No one deserves to die like this.
We are all humans; we should love each other, and take care of each other. There are so many problems in the world that we can’t control, so why can’t we stop creating more?

Selectivitat's writing

Buy nothing day is the opposite day to Black Friday, it is a day created to try to consume less and produce less waste.
I think this is a good idea because there are lots of products that people just use once or twice and then they become trash. Sometimes people are not conscious of what they have or what they need, and that's the principal reason of consumerism.
If we take a day to think and realize of everything we have bought and not used, we would see that the only thing we are doing is waste our money and produce lots of garbage.
I agree with this idea because as I said it makes you realize of what you really need or use and don't buy anything unless you need it.

Informal letter

Hello Lourdes!
As you know, my name is Paula and I'm 17 years old. I always have lived in Empuriabrava, in the same house and obviously with the same people, my family. I have two siblings, my brother David who is 12, and my sister, Carlota who is 15. Although they sometimes drive me crazy I love them so much. My father, Ramón, works as a fireman and my mother, Marian works in a school looking after problematic kids.

After an amazing summer here we are again in high school, luckily it is going to be the last year. I’m currently studying 2nd of scientific batxillerat, and the truth is that, seeing the results of the last year I think I can do it a little bit better to get better marks.

I don’t really have a lot of expectations about how my life is going to be or what I am going to study or where I am going to live, because at the end it doesn’t matter how much you plan your life, nothing is going to be as you planned it. But yes, I know more or less what could be my life in a year; maybe I will be studying something related to biology (that’s what I like the most from high school), like biomedical science, or pharmacy, in Barcelona or Madrid or maybe I will be doing a gap year to clear my head and decide what to do with my life. For either of these two options I need to work hard. For the first option I have to make an effort studying and getting good marks because usually science degrees demand it, and for the second one I will have to exert myself too, working in summer to earn money and take the gap year. The truth is that I am the only one who can do it, I mean, although people support me, if I don’t study or I don’t go to school or I don’t get a job I won’t be able to achieve my goals. Life is full of surprises so I’m not worried about deciding what to do.

While I was watching Obama’s speech again, I realized that it’s full of beautiful sentences so I couldn’t choose just, one but three. The first one is “Every single one of you has something that you are good at. Every single one of you has something to offer. And you have the responsibility to discover what it is.” I think these words are so comforting because not everyone is good with studies and sometimes we, the students, forget that there is another world outside high school, and not everything turns around getting good marks and being the best of the class; that if we are not good with science or letters, maybe we will be good at sports or arts and that’s okay. Another sentence that I liked is “Where you are now doesn’t have to determine where you’ll end”, as I said before life is full of surprises, and even if you are in the most miserable situation if you try and you don’t give up on yourself, you can get over it and live the life you always wanted. It’s only matter of working hard and trusting in you. And the last one is “You won’t necessarily succeed at everything the first time you try. That’s okay”. I like this sentence because it is completely true, moreover, you will probably fail if you are trying to do something new for you, and this will only teach you what to do to do it well. The most important thing about the speech is that you never have to give up on yourself, even if things are not going as you want, you are the only one that trying over and over again can do whatever you want.
Lots of love,
Paula

FINAL REFLECTION

I think that I have improved on my english and my task blogs compared to last year. I have relized that when I have to write a your say I have more vocabulary and I do it easily than last year. I also think that I have more things to tell, because last year it was so difficult to find something to write about and now I have more ideas. I think the activities that shows my best level of english are your says or writings in class, but something related with my pleasures because I get excited writing. I improved my english mostly from the series I watch, but I think my writing skills are improved thanks to the blog and other tasks. Also, I think that the oral presentations are useful because you are forced to talk in english so I learned more about pronuciations or fluency. Reading a book in english was really useful too, because I learned a lot of vocabulary.
On the other hand I don't find useful news, because although you read and you get information I think that blog task it's enough. Also, I don't find useful evaluating other presentations because you don't really know how you have to evaluate and it is so relative because you may think that somebody is very fluent and another person can think the opposite.
I would like to keep doing your says, but not news, also I would like to watch more movies or series because although it seems a nonsense it's the way I learned more. I would like to do kahoot once in a while too, because although it's not very useful for grammar or other skills, it's funny and it is useful to disconnect and do other things than grammar, voacbulary, listening, reading and all that kind of stuff.

Dear Mr Magan,
I am writing to ask you about your post in Workaway. I am 18 and I just have finished my secondary school education and I want to take a gap year to travel around the world, so I think that travelling with Workaway is a great option economically for young people.
I am interested to know more details about how I can help you. First of all, I would like to know about my schedule, how many hours I am expected to work each day and if I my working hours will be in the morning or afternoon.Additionally, I am keen to know if I will have some free time too. In my free time I plan to see and experience as much as I can of the local area- do you have any suggestions or advice?
I look forward to hearing from you. I'm able to do a skype interview if you want to know anything more about me.
Yours sincerely,
Paula Montané.

The DNA detective helping to reunite families

Julia Bell is a woman who helps people find their parents, siblings, or other relatives. A man, Robert Weston contacted her because he wanted to find his siblings. He was abandoned in a cinema toilet 61 years ago and now he has found his siblings.
First she has to do a DNA test and then she has to look in the databases to find someone that matches with some part of the DNA.
Weston told Julie that he had been searching for a long time, but when she did the DNA test and searched on the database, she found a second cousin who told her about other relatives in his family. So Julia took a DNA test on some relative and she found coincidences with Robert's test, he was his brother. She got into this because her mother didn't know who her father was so she found that he was dead but there was a sister who was alive and now that sister is in touch with the family.
Personal opinion
I think that is very beautiful to be able to use science to figure out things like this. I can understand that people abandoned their children in the second World War because there were no safe methods of abortion or ways to prevent unwanted pregnancy but now, I don't know why people keep abandoning their children, because if you decided that you want to be mother or father you have to do whatever you can to protect your child. Maybe the parents had some reasons to abandon their child so I think that the DNA detective is very useful in these cases.

GAP YEAR

I always wanted to do a gap year, but nowadays I want it more than never. I think that a gap year has to be a year for yourself, to do the things that you want, and to be out of stress and worries, in my case I want to travel.
I'd like to take so many gap years, but the first one will be after batxillerat. I'm going to do it through Eorkaway, which is a web that contacts people who needs help with something , so you work in exchange for food and accommodation, and the only thing that you have to pay for is the flight. In this year I want to visit as many countries as I can, so to start I will visit 3 countries; Palawan, Philippines, Thailand and Los Angeles. First of all I will have to get the money working so, once I finish batxillerat I'm going to work from June to December to save money. In January 2019 I will start my trip, well, we, because of course, I'm doing it with Fatine.
The first stop is going to be Los Angeles. We are going to stay in a house that accommodates backpackers, and the only thing that we are going to do is take care of the house, and help with the guests five hours a day and five days per week, so in the free time we can visit the city and do whatever we want. We are going to spend three months in each country so, after 3 months we are going to take a plane to The Philippines. In The Philippines, we are going to stay in Palawan, an idyllic island- perfect to relax and sunbath everyday. The job that we will have to do there, will be helping in a hostel in different ways, like painting, travel blogging or taking promotional photos. The last stop will be Thailand. We are going to be stay in a bamboo hut in Koh Phangan, helping a family with rescued animals. I always really wanted to do something like that with animals so this is my chance to do it.
I think this kind of "volunteering" is perfect for people who don't have much money and want to travel and know other cultures. In my case, I want to improve  my languages, know other cultures and traditions, etc. I also want to take this gap year to take a break in my studies life and hopefully decide what is what I want to do in the future.

Burgos

The third day we woke up at 8 a. m. as every day, to take the bus, leave the hotel and go on our way to Leon. Before arriving to Leon, we went to Las Medulas, an ancient mine where Romans extracted gold. It was so hot and we had to walk for three hours to arrive to the top of the mountain, so I was really tired. After that, we went down again, and we took the bus to get to Leon. We arrived at 9:30 p. m. to the hotel. We left all the luggage in the room and we went to have dinner. That day we didn't ate so well because we had only one hour to find a restaurant and have dinner. We spent about twenty minutes finding the restaurant and the other 40 minutes we had to eat very fast so I didn't enjoyed all that I could have enjoyed.
The fourth day was like the last one because the fifth day we spent all the day in the bus. Well, Thursday, we got up at eight o'clock and we went to Valporquero's cave which was amazing because it was a cave with six "rooms" full of geological forms like stalactites, stalagmites, columns, etc. I loved that place. After that, we went back to Leon, and we had lunch. After lunch we visited the basilica of San Isidro, and afterward we visited Leon's cathedral, it was so beautiful but I was tired of visiting cathedrals. Finally we got some free time to do whatever we wanted so we bought something for our families and we went to have something to eat. At night, our  teachers told us that after dinner we could go to a bar, so we had dinner and we went to a bar to dance. We went back to the hotel and we stayed like 10 people in the same room, talking until we had to have breakfast. The route back lasted 9 hours, so every 3 hours we had to stop. As we didn't sleep during the night we slept all the 9 hours.
It was a great trip and I enjoyed a lot from everything we did.

Remote island has 'world's worst' plastic rubbish density

This news talks about Henderson Island, an uninhabited island in the South pacific with the world's worst plastic rubbish density. This island has 37,7 millions pieces of debris on its beaches, the reason is because it is in the middle of an ocean current so it collects all the litter that goes into the current.
An Australian and British study said that there are 671 items of rubbish per square meter,of which most of them are things of single-use.
Another study said that most of remote islands are in the same situation as Henderson island. Most of the objects that are found in this rubbish are things that humans throw into the ocean like toothbrushes or cigarettes lighters.
Dr Lavers said that almost every island in the world and almost every species in the ocean are affected by the plastics that we throw.
Personal opinion
I think that this situation has to stop. We have to be conscious that we are not alone in this world, we coexist with animals, so we can't be throwing our trash everywhere because we are polluting their habitats. Also, humans have to live in this world for so many years, and if we don't take care of it, and we continue throwing our waste to the nature, we won't be able to live on this planet.

Chechen police 'kidnap and torture gay men' - LGBT activists

Lately we have been hearing in the news that there are some lgbt camps where people is tortured and humiliated because they are gay.
This news talks about the homophobic situation in Chechenya. The police and the government is chasing lgbt people to put them in camps to torture them, and the government just hides it by saying that "gay people don't exist in this country".
Natalia Poplevskaya of the Russian lgbt Network told the BBC that people, either gay or just perceived as gay, is being locked and kidnapped at the detention center near the capital. They suffer torture with electric shocks and there are cells that have been filled with 30 people in it.
Although there are news from the lgbt camp, the president Ramzan Kadyrov denies this tragedy, he just ignores it.
There is an email hotline to help the victims flee to other countries. Other governments and countries are trying to solve this problem.
Personal opinion
This issue makes me so angry, you can't judge people for who they love, it's like judging people who likes color red, it's stupid. We are all humans with the same rights and if someone wants to be with someone from the same gender, let it be and if you don't like it don't look at them, because everybody deserves to love and be loved with no one judging them.
Also, I don't know what is the problem that people have with gay people, I mean, they are not doing anything bad, they are just loving, as you love your partner, or your family. So I think that's not something that can be judged for. I just don't get why people cares so much about other people, live and let live.

Another half of my family

In this post I'm going to talk about the other half of my family, my mother's family. I don't remember a lot of things from my great-grand mother, because she died when I was only 5, so I only have some images in my head. The parents of my mum are Juan and Maria. I haven't met Juan because he died when my mother was 18, but my grandmother told me a lot of things about him, he was very clever and a hard-worker, and in my grandmother's eyes he was so handsome. Maria, is the most chatty person I ever known, she loves to talk and argue with everyone. She is very active, she goes for a walk every morning with her friends, and in the evenings she goes to the gym. She is very happy and full of joy, even after everything that she has been through. I love spending time with her, because she always explains to me stories from her childhood and she is so funny. She loves all her family and she always takes care of everyone. She and Juan had 5 children.
Toñi (Antonia), is the oldest. She is 53 and she has a son, Juan Raul. Although she has never done sport before, she started running and riding the bike when she was 50 and now she is running marathons and triathlons. She married Raul ,but now they are divorced. Their son, Juan Raul is 14, he is tall and fat, but he is so funny. When you are with him you can't be serious, he is so silly and I know that when I'm going to see him I am going to laugh a lot. He is also a little bit irresponsible and I hope that with time he will change.
The second one is my mother, Marian and she married Ramon, my father and they had 3 children, me and my siblings but I'm not going to talk about us because I have already done it in some posts before.
The third one is my aunt Merce, she is 48 and she married Nacho. Merce is very funny and happy. She works as a scientist in a research laboratory. Nacho, her husband works as a fireman and he loves going to the mountain and all kinds of risk sports. They have two children, Nacho and Patricia. Nacho is 14 and he plays water-polo in Albacete, he is very energetic and he can't be motionless. Patricia is 11 and she is so sweet and clever, I'm sure she will get what she wants in life because she is very hard-working.
My aunt Vicky (Victoria ) is the third one and when I was little I was always with her. I remember that every time she came to Empuriabrava she brought me a painting book. She is 46 and she is very happy and she loves to make the most of her time. She married Alex and he was so kind to me, and I love him so much in spite of the fact they are now divorced. They have twins, Martina and Alejandro and they are 5 years old. They are so sweet and intelligent, I love them so much.

Finally, my uncle Juan Carlos, he is 42 and he isn't married. He works in a prison, so he is so brave.
I'm so proud of my family and I wish I could see them more because they are 7 hours from here and I miss them so much.

Burgos

In this post I'm going to talk about our experience in Burgos. This year the travel assigned to scientific first of batxillerat was  to Burgos and Leon.
At 5 a. m. we were at the high school ready to set off on our trip. We had to take the bus to get to Burgos. It wasn't very boring because we slept all the route. We stopped at 1 p. m in a service station to have lunch and we arrived at Burgos at 4 p. m. We left our luggage in the hotel and we went to visit the cathedral. To be honest it was a little bit boring but more than anything because it was too long, and it was a little bit cold inside. After that, we had free time to do whatever we wanted so we went out for tapas because we were so hungry. We spent maybe 3 hours sitting at the bar chatting and eating. We ate so much food that when it was dinner time we weren't hungry, but that wasn't a problem because the hotel made us a bread soup that didn't make a very good impression. We went to our room and we went to sleep.
The next day we went to the human evolution museum. I think it was pretty interesting, they showed us some archaeological ruins like bones from prehistoric people or the tools that they used to use. After that we went to the archaeological site where these bones and tools were found. It was a little bit boring because although we couldn't enter in the sites, they explained to us the same that we had heard in the museum, and to top it all it was so windy and cold. That day, we had lunch in the most fancy restaurant of the trip, I was so hungry and the food was so good. In the afternoon we went to the CAREX which is a place when you learn how our ancestors made their rudimentary knives or how they hunted, etc. After that, we went back to the hotel where we had dinner and we went to sleep.
